About

Weles Acoustics is a Polish manufacturer of particle velocity sensors and acoustic measurement instruments headquartered in Rybnik, Poland. Founded in 2016 by acoustics specialists Łukasz Stano, Marcin Korbasiewicz, and Ibán Cereijo, the company has spent nearly a decade advancing particle velocity sensing technology into practical engineering instruments used in research laboratories, industrial R&D, and manufacturing quality control worldwide.

The company's flagship product line includes multi-dimensional particle velocity probes capable of measuring particle velocity (1D/3D), sound pressure, sound intensity, sound power, and acoustic impedance without frequency limitations. These instruments are widely applied to noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) challenges across automotive, aerospace, industrial machinery, and consumer electronics sectors.

As a subsidiary of the Quantum Systems Group, Weles Acoustics has expanded into defense and dual-use applications. The company developed the WASP (Weles Acoustic Sensor Payload), a 150-gram acoustic sensor payload integrated into Quantum Systems' Vector AI and Twister UAVs. The WASP system enables passive, AI-assisted detection of artillery fire from up to 15 km and small-arms fire from up to 2.5 km, providing real-time direction and distance data for counter-battery ISR missions. The system was operationally deployed with Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2025.

Weles has received EU grant funding supporting its technology development and has expanded its partnerships across the unmanned systems and acoustic technology sectors. Its sensors are used globally in both civilian and defense contexts, and the company plans to integrate the WASP payload across all future Quantum Systems platforms.
